Biography

Matt French is currently the Senior Vice President of AMETEK's Advanced Motion Solutions division. He has been in the motion control industry for over 25 years, working for AMETEK that entire time in a variety of senior management, sales and marketing roles prior to assuming his current role. Prior to joining AMETEK, Matt graduated from Heidelberg College with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. During his time with AMETEK, he earned his MBA through Kent State University. During his time with AMETEK, the Advanced Motion Solutions (previously called Precision Motion Control) division has grown into one of AMETEK's largest operating divisions through both organic growth and through the acquisitions of Penn Motion Control (Pittman), Motion Control Group (MCG), Haydon Kerk and most recently Dunkermotoren. Matt is currently the Vice President of the Motion Control & Motor Association Board of Directors.
