Biography
Matt French has been in the Motion Control industry for the past 25 years. He has worked for AMETEK Inc., his entire career, holding numerous positions within both sales and management. During his career, he has been responsible for the integration of four strategic acquisitions, making AMETEK an industry leader in global markets. In his current role, he leads teams of colleagues in all three main geographic regions – USA, Europe, and Asia. During that time, he has developed an effective leadership team positioned to compete into every challenging business environment.
Matt earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from Heidelberg College located in Tiffin, Ohio and his MBA from Kent State University. He has held leadership positions in both the Small Motor Manufacturing Association (SMMA) and the Motion Control Association (MCA). He currently is the Vice Chairperson for the newly merged Motion Control & Motor Association (MCMA).
